New Book, New Goals

After a very busy holiday season, I can finally come back to say that the next installment in the All the Dark Souls trilogy is complete! We have a Book 2! 😀

All the Blood Spilt is the next installment that picks up right where the 1st book left off. While this story is more action packed (the title gives that away), things do get a little more complicated between Joss and Aric, as well as for the lost prince and his rightful place on the throne.

I was hoping to announce this in January, but here we are. 😛 I actually finished writing last Monday (at 3 a.m. in the morning because I’m crazy), and went right into editing/revisions. Since I’m about halfway done, I figured it was safe to spread the good news.

I hope to have pre-orders available at the beginning of March, as well a sneak peek to the cover. So more good news is on the horizon!

As for my 2023 goals, I’ve seen so many authors posting theirs on social media that I figured I’d go ahead and post mine, just so everyone knows what kind of to-do list I’m working with. 🙂

  1. I’m planning to release the 3rd and final book in the All the Dark Souls trilogy around November. (Two books published in 1 year? Who am I?)
  2. Both the 2nd and 3rd book will have hardcovers out close to, if not on, their publishing dates.
  3. During summer, I hope to work on/release the paperback for All the Dark Souls, as well as the backlog of audiobooks that need to be done. (Yes, Benighted readers, I’m looking at you.)
  4. During fall, I hope to announce the title and progress for The Benighted’s 3rd book (finally!!) and have some release date news for The Benighted and The Illusory’s hardcovers. Yes, they are coming!
  5. As I mentioned back when I was working on The Illusory, I’ve really wanted to write serial fiction, which I’m planning to pick up this year. While I’m hoping to start publishing it sometime soon, I’m holding back because (1) I don’t want to release anything until I have a good amount written, and (2) I’m still torn on where to publish it, given all the different platforms. So far I’m leaning towards both Kindle Vella and Patreon, but we’ll see how that turns out.

So, fingers crossed to a very productive year! 🙂 Stay safe and stay reading, peeps! ❤
